Trauma is NOT about the event…

It’s how the event is still living inside of your body now.

Many of us are holding past traumatic experiences in our bodies right now.

Stored trauma in the body manifests itself as constriction because the body is bracing in response to the past as well as to the expected future.

Chronic bracing has a biology attached to it: high blood pressure, shallow breathing, tension, and inflammation, to name a few.

Our behaviors, addictions, and choices unfurl from this chronic state, and we tend to live life as a way to cope with these stressed-out bodies rather than to nurture them and enjoy them.

You don’t have to relive every traumatic event you’ve experienced to recover from trauma - you just have to learn how to feel again so you can address the tension through somatic practices and whole food nutrition.

Your body will do the rest.

The body doesn’t speak through words, that’s the mind.

The body speaks through sensations.
