These are BIG sensations…

Self Sabotage

It can feel like planting seeds for a garden and then neglecting to water them, despite knowing what they need to thrive.

Shame

Wraping around the body like a heavy cloak, pulling us inward, staying isolated and fearful of failure.

Procrastination

It often feels like being paralyzed, staring at a mountain of tasks, while the clock ticks louder and louder.

You don’t lack willpower & you are not lazy…

You may be stuck in a freeze response.

Procrastination and self-sabotage are messages from the body that you’re overwhelmed and don’t have the capacity to keep going.

The body freezes because it experiences a high level of threat; stress skyrockets, breathing becomes shallow, the body constricts, and we get numb.

In nature, the freeze response can save an animal by helping them hide from a predator. But if our body constantly perceives our daily tasks as predators, we can get stuck in freeze — a state of lethargy.

Judging and shaming this natural, reflexive, survival response only heightens it.

To move through it, we must assist the body in feeling safe. In this webinar, I’ll teach you exactly how to begin doing that.

In This Live Webinar, You Will Learn:

  • How your body communicates its need for safety through self-sabotaging behaviors.

  • Why self-sabotage often triggers feelings of shame and ways to change this pattern.

  • Procrastination: How is it related to the freeze response?

  • Balancing Capacity and Desire: Learn how to align what you want to achieve with what your body can handle without feeling overwhelmed.

  • ADHD and Dopamine: Explore how ADHD affects motivation and the role dopamine plays in procrastination and focus.

  • Creating safety with food: How what we eat affects the freeze response.

  • Somatic movement practices for freeze and how your body intuitively knows how to move through it.

  • Ways to grow your capacity for pleasure and why it is perceived by some nervous systems as threat.

About Your Guide,

Luis Mojica

Understanding how what you want (desire) isn’t always congruent with your body’s ability to handle it (capacity) can be truly life changing. It was for me.

Capacity is based on your body’s ability to soften instead of constrict.

It’s about your liver’s ability to remove excess adrenaline from your bloodstream. It’s about your nervous system regulating properly so you don’t feel threatened in safe environments.

When I lacked capacity, I lacked the ability to tolerate big sensations - good and bad.

And understanding that helped me shift from:

“I must really hate myself if I always ruin good things”

to

“I can build capacity in my body for what I want to be / achieve / and do.”

I want that for you, too.
